Glory Christ Church was founded by Pastor Esther Choi (Choi Eui-soon) as a non-denominational Christian church, in accordance with God’s will.
Since its establishment in December 1982, the church has been proclaiming the Word of God, teaching the Bible, and carrying out ministries of healing.

December 12, 1982 – The founding worship service was held at
2-22-14 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. -
September 19, 1984 – The church received official recognition as a religious corporation, strengthening its evangelistic activities.

June 13, 1989 – The Glory International Prayer Center was dedicated at
2851 Yamazaki, Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. -
March 12, 1995 – Glory Christ Church was dedicated at
5-43-6 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. -
September 28, 1997 – Pastor Esther Choi was called home to the Lord.

October 5, 1997 – Pastor Shinichi Kaneko was appointed as Senior Pastor.

April 10, 2010 – One Music Evangelist and one Education Evangelist were appointed.

November 17, 2013 – Evangelist Junko Kaneko was ordained as Pastor.

March 31, 2023 – Pastor Shinichi Kaneko retired.

April 1, 2023 – Associate Pastor Junko Kaneko was appointed as Senior Pastor.
